You will need the following items for your Walmart account setup:
- Supporting documents that verify your business name and address (such as bank statements or utility bills)

Please note, sellers in India who do not have a US tax ID should click “no” when prompted during the business verification step. You will be prompted to submit proof of business documentation instead.
Per compliance regulations, you are required to have a U.S. address where returns can be sent if needed. If you don’t have a U.S. address, the Walmart BD team can help you make introductions to service providers.
There are few categories where sellers must need UPC/ISBN/EAN/GTIN codes in order to list items on Walmart.com like toys, books, branded items, etc. Some handmade/handcrafted items can qualify for sale on Walmart.com without codes. You can raise a partner support case from your seller account and request for UPC/GTIN exemption.
Sellers pay a referral fee (also referred to as a commission rate) for each product sold on Walmart Marketplace. The referral fee is calculated as a percentage of the gross sales proceeds from the sale of each product, which is set based on the product type assigned to your item. If you export items from India to the U.S., you are responsible for duties and import taxes. Walmart is not the importer of record.
No, Walmart does not. If you’re a US entity with an EIN, you should act as the ultimate consignee. If you don’t have an EIN, you’ll need to name another business.
No, our preferred carriers can only pick up from a US warehouse. Work with a freight forwarder or your own carrier to schedule a delivery from the port to your assigned WFS facility.
You must use GTIN or UPC for WFS labels. Walmart’s Prep Services program allows you to outsource inventory preparation to WFS for a small fee. It’s a great option if you lack the time, infrastructure or available labor to prepare your Walmart-fulfilled items correctly and consistently.
