If you’re an eligible seller who joins Walmart Marketplace, you can make your local retail store(s) available to customers. With Walmart Marketplace, customers in your area can place orders from your retail location directly through Walmart.com. Customers can have these orders delivered (through the Walmart delivery network) directly to them.

Additionally, you can easily manage your Walmart orders and account directly through Seller Center.

Signing up with Walmart’s local listings program is simple, but your business must meet certain requirements—such as having a valid tax ID and a physical storefront in an eligible area. Keep in mind that Walmart’s local listings aren’t currently available nationwide, so eligibility will depend on your store’s location.

No. When a customer places an order, Walmart uses its own delivery network to fulfill your orders.

No, there aren’t any initial costs or annual fees when becoming a seller on Walmart Marketplace. You only pay a referral fee when your items sell. 

FAQs for alcohol retail sellers:

Yes. Eligible alcohol retailers can sell alcohol through local listings on Walmart Marketplace for local pickup and delivery, subject to state and local laws. Shipping alcohol is not supported at this time.

Beer, wine, and spirits are all supported through local listings. Availability may vary depending on state or local regulations.

You must have the required alcohol licenses or permits for off-premise sales in your state or local jurisdiction. As part of onboarding, Walmart validates your liquor license and other requested documentation, such as a valid SS-4 form, government-issued ID and business registration or certification. 

Walmart handles age verification for alcohol deliveries through its delivery network to help ensure orders are delivered only to customers who meet legal age requirements.

Walmart provides compliance tooling and guardrails for alcohol deliveries. Sellers are still responsible for maintaining valid licenses and following applicable laws.

No. Alcohol availability through local listings varies by state and local law and is not available in all areas.

FAQs for sellers with multiple store locations:

Yes, if each store location has a different Tax ID. At this time, multiple locations that share the same Tax ID are not supported. Support for this is planned for a future release. 

Yes. Currently, each store location requires its own Seller Center account. Support for managing multiple store locations under a single account is planned for a future release.

Order routing is configurable by the seller, allowing you to determine how orders are assigned to your store locations. 

Yes. Inventory is managed at the location level, and you can control availability for each store individually, including turning listings on or off by location.
