Navigating Seller Center

All about Seller Center

Get familiar with the platform you’ll use to manage your Walmart storefront.  Here, we’ll walk you through the different tabs in Seller Center and provide an overview of the tools and information they offer so you know how to navigate your way around.  

You’ll find all you need to set up, run and manage your business in Seller Center.  Check out Seller Center often for ongoing offers, recommended tools, upcoming events and program updates.

Setup

1  Create and manage your catalog

CATALOG

Once you’ve completed onboarding, you can set up and manage your items from the Catalog tab in Seller Center. You can add items, review your catalog, address listing issues, manage international orders and more. 

To add items, simply click on the Add items button in the upper right corner.  

The catalog subtabs offer you useful tools for managing your listings: 

  • Unpublished items: See listing issues that require your attention.
  • Pending review: Check listing issues including flagged items, potential duplicate listings, prohibited items and listings requiring attention to go live. 
  • Media library: Add and manage videos and 360-spin images for your listings to help improve search results, increase order conversions and reduce the frequency of returns. 
  • Activity feed: Track the progress of added and updated items.
  • Export items: Sell items in international markets.

2  Managing your storefront

Once you’ve set up your catalog, you’ll be able to accept orders and take steps to build your business. Now, let’s go over which tabs to visit within Seller Center to manage orders, payments, pricing and financing, and which tabs to visit to track your storefront’s performance.   

ORDERS

You’ll visit the Orders tab to manage returns, adjustments and disputes.

PAYMENTS

Once your account and catalog are set up and sales start rolling in, you can track payments and transactions for all your orders in the Payments dashboard. 

Transactions 
Get an overview of your orders. 

Capital
You can explore loan options and offers in the Capital subtab here to take steps for additional financing to help your business grow.

PRICING

Visit the Pricing tab to set item prices and monitor your price performance. You can also help improve conversion rates by using our pricing tool, or by creating deals and discounts.   

Explore additional tools in the Pricing subtabs for ways to price items that can help you attract more customers.  

PERFORMANCE

Check the overall performance of your items and account by visiting the Performance tab, then use the information to identify specific areas of your business to improve to help increase conversion. 

You’ll also find detailed information to help you understand how your business is operating including:  

  • How your business is performing in key categories such as order response time, valid tracking, cancellations and refunds 
  • Item ratings and reviews 
  • Your seller performance and areas to improve   

Grow

3  Grow your Marketplace business

Once you have set up your catalog, it’ll be time to focus on growth. Seller Center has a wide range of tools that can allow you to monitor your business’ progress in different areas as well as help you reach new customers, improve conversion and increase sales.   

ANALYTICS

Visit the Analytics tab to review how your items are selling. Here, in the subtabs, you’ll also find these tools to help you grow your business: 

Search insights offers: 

  • Info on how your items are selling  
  • Recommendations on how to improve your listings 
  • Top keywords related to your products 
  • Details about how people are finding your items online

Consumer insights
View insights into the purchasing behavior of customers who have bought items within your catalog, including repeat purchasing trends. 

Reports
Generate reports to check the performance and status of your items based on the filter you choose from the drop-down menu.

GROWTH

Visit the Growth tab to find Success Hub, a resource that suggests tools to help you optimize your catalog 

Besides Success Hub, you’ll also be able to access tools like: 

  • Listing quality: Provides insights on how customers view your published items and how updates to your listings impact your listing quality score.

Your listing quality score considers your listing content, item discoverability, availability and customer ratings and reviews. It is important to address listings with issues, as a low listing quality score can affect your item’s discoverability and whether your item appears on Walmart.com.  

  • Assortment growth: Offers recommendations for popular items to add to your catalog to expand your offers to customers. Want to learn more? Check out our overview of assortment growth here.

ADVERTISING

NAVIGATING TO SHIPPING SETTINGS

4  How to find your shipping settings

Now, we’ll go over how to navigate to your shipping dashboard so you can set up your shipping preferences. 

To navigate to the shipping dashboard: 

  • Click on the gear in the upper right corner of the Seller Center home page. 
  • A page will pop up. In the left-hand column, scroll down to find the Shipping Profile tab. 

Here, you can enter your shipping information, set up your preferred shipping options and more.

Pro tip: You can also manage your account settings, business profile and tax profile here, under the Account, Partner Profile and Financial Settings tabs.
