To get the full 50% off referral fee rates, start by signing up to sell on Walmart.com. You’ll immediately unlock your first 10% discount. Then learn about Walmart Fulfillment Services, Sponsored Search advertising from Walmart Connect, and Repricer while you’re onboarding and enroll in these programs as soon as you go live. List items from your catalog or your entire catalog with WFS, Sponsored Search advertising from Walmart Connect, and Repricer to earn additional discounts. If it’s not possible to list your entire catalog, prioritize the most popular items in your catalog to maximize this opportunity.
Please note that enrolling your products in WFS is not enough to receive the discount. Your items will need to be received at a WFS fulfillment center and fulfilled by WFS. If you set up a product to be fulfilled by WFS, but continue fulfilling it with your own logistics network, you will not get the additional 15% discount. Similarly, if you enroll in Sponsored Search, but don’t spend anything to promote your products (minimum spend is $1), you will not be eligible for an additional 15% referral fee discount.
All qualified sellers must go live after January 23 to participate in New-Seller Savings. The 90-day rate reduction period starts with the first payment cycle after a business starts selling on Walmart.com. We encourage sellers to list their entire catalogs to maximize the opportunity.
Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) offers end-to-end fulfillment services for Walmart Marketplace sellers. With one of the world’s largest supply chains, we’re uniquely positioned to provide the scale, quality, cost, and efficiency you need to grow a successful business on Walmart.com. Sellers have seen a 50% GMV growth, on average, for key items fulfilled by Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS).
Sellers who use WFS will receive an additional 15% New-Seller Savings referral fee rate discount, which will be applied to products fulfilled by Walmart for up to 90 days. They will also receive 50% off Prep Services, 50% off storage fees, and 25% off fulfillment fees for 90 days when their first shipment of items is received by July 31.
List your entire assortment with WFS. An ideal assortment includes best-selling items, premium brands, and items not currently listed on Walmart.com. To boost results, ensure items are priced competitively, page content is high-quality, and inventory meets customer demand.
Prep Services:
Item labeling and poly bagging is offered as an added service to ensure your Walmart-fulfilled items are prepared correctly and consistently.
Storage:
WFS-fulfilled items are housed in Walmart fulfillment centers. Fees are based on the volume of the product being stored and the length of time.
Fulfillment:
When a customer places an order on Walmart.com, we’ll pick, pack, and ship the item to the customer on your behalf. WFS also handles all customer support and returns for these orders.
Discounts on WFS will be reflected in sellers’ settlement reports. Occasionally if a charge was initially not discounted, the discount will be retroactively applied and reflected as a monthly reimbursement by the 15th of the subsequent month.

First, verify your business by submitting your details and completing your Seller Profile. Ensure your tax information matches IRS records so we can verify your business quickly and you can sell faster. Next, tell us where to send your payments. On average, onboarding takes about 10 days. When you create a Walmart Marketplace account, provide detailed and accurate information and respond to additional inquiries from Walmart to help ensure we verify your business quickly.
Marketplace referral fee rate discounts are actioned on a weekly cadence. This means your 90 days of discounted referral fees begin within the week of your first sale. For example, if you go live on a Tuesday, your up-to-50% referral fee rate discount will begin the following Friday on all eligible items. Your discount period ends 120 days after your go-live date, which means you only need to make one sale in your first 30 days to get a full 90 days of discounts.

To receive the initial 10% discount on referral fees on the seller’s entire assortment for up to 90 days, participating sellers must complete onboarding steps. Additional referral fee rate discount will apply to products fulfilled by Walmart Fulfillment Services for a +15% referral fee discount, Walmart Connect for a +15% referral fee discount, and the Repricer tool for a +10% referral fee discount, resulting in a combined total maximum referral fee discount of 50%. Sellers must have items received by a WFS fulfillment center to qualify for the additional 15% WFS discount. No seller-fulfilled orders will be eligible for the extra 15% WFS referral fee discount. Sellers must have items enrolled in Walmart Connect with associated Walmart Connect spend. No orders without associated Walmart Connect spend will be eligible for the additional 15% Walmart Connect referral fee discount. Sellers must have items enrolled in the Repricer program and have set up their winning pricing strategy. No orders without Repricer enrollment and winning pricing strategy set-up will be eligible for the additional 10% Repricer referral fee discount. The 90-day referral fee rate reduction period starts with the first payment cycle after an eligible seller begins selling on Walmart.com.
To be eligible for Walmart Fulfillment Services discounts for Prep Services, fulfillment fees, and storage fees, a minimum of one item must be received by a Walmart fulfillment center by 7/31/24. The 90-day discount period starts upon receipt of the first item(s) by Walmart facility(-ies). The storage fee discount is applicable to seller’s entire assortment for the first 10,000 units only. The Prep Services discount is applicable when a seller chooses to use Prep Services when setting up inbound orders. Unplanned prep fees for inbound items that do not meet WFS requirements will not be discounted.
