We’ve updated our non-feed API guide in the Developer Portal to ensure your business is prepared for the upcoming holiday season. For example, when performing daily feed and bulk updates, make sure you submit the feed files as part of the feed API call and check the progress using the Feed Status API. Please only use other non-feed APIs such as the Update Inventory API or the Update Item Inventory Per Ship Node API in emergency situations as these are highly throttled.
Sellers can expect normal throttling limits except during cases of high API volumes. During unexpected peaks, we will implement additional throttling to manage holiday traffic. If you experience unusual throttling errors, please wait at least 90 minutes before re-submitting requests.
On November 25, the Pre-Generated Item Report version 2 will no longer be available for use. Moving forward, sellers will need to use version 3 to get the Pre-generated Item Report. Please update your integration with the new query parameters below to ensure a smooth transition to version 3.
In the Developer Portal, you can also see all of the fields that are present in version 3. Please handle the parsing logic with additional fields/columns to avoid breaking the consumer code.
To ensure a great experience for you and customers, we’ve added a new Bulk Inventory Update feed type called Multi-node Bulk Inventory Update. Now, you can maintain your inventory across multiple fulfillment centers even faster and in one single feed file. For more details on how to use the new feed type, read through the API reference.
We’re excited to introduce the Catalog Search API–a new API that enables users to search for items in a seller’s catalog by creating their own payload. Now you can create more specific searches with multiple filters such as price, listing status, rating, and other listing attributes.
For more details on how to use the new API, read through the Catalog Search API reference and guide.
Sellers can now reference additional data points in the Item Performance Report Version 2 to breakdown key financial performance metrics. For example, sellers can now see pageviews and conversion rates at the product-level. As a reminder, Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) is now calculated by “Auth Sales – Cancelled Sales – Returns.”
We’ve improved the On-Request Item Report Version 2 and added additional columns in preparation for Seller Center’s upcoming Repricer. Stay tuned for more information once the helpful new tool is released in the future.
As a reminder, the Single Item Inventory Update API (also referred to as sync Inventory API) is intended for emergency updates only and is highly throttled. For daily updates, please use Bulk Inventory Update APIs which have higher throttling limits.
